Now this looks interesting…

As you may remember, the first Medieval: Total War is one of the “Games of my Life”, and, IMO, one of the best strategy games of all time. A second version of it (it’s Creative Assembly’s first sequel ever) should be really amazing.
Here is the MTW2 official page, with lots of great screenshots. Unfortunately, they still insist on showing only battle images, and I’m even more interested in the campaign – which sounds amazing, from the description, but I’d like to see some of it. It’s probably not coded yet, I guess.
The bad news: it should be even more demanding than Rome: Total War, which my puny PC already can’t handle decently. I really must get around to getting rich.

its an AMD Athlon 64×2(dual-core) 3800+, but i really dont understand the performance rated at 5.70GHz when i only got 2.0GHz…. oh and my computer, i got all that for only 800$ lol, when i went to another store, customizing the exact same thing wuld cost 1200$, i play oblivion, age of empires 3, lord of the rings battle for middle earth 1&2 the sims 2(such an addicting game) and good old starcraft, no problems whatsoever on running highest qualities, except for oblivion, something i dont understand there, i play it and sometimes lags….but other than that everything is great.
Man I just got my 9550 card and it says to get latest mother board drivers and My motherboard is a MSI MS 6577 and I cant find anything on it any where…does anyone know whats up??
Hey stevo, its comparing it agaisnt a pentium 4 speed, so if that 3800 X2 64 was a pentium 4, it would run at 5.70ghz, but they dont make shitty pentium 4’s anymore cause they suck, expensive, over heating and their performance arent good enough so you got a good processor man, it has 2 cores running at 2.0ghz each and its performance is rated at 5.70ghz, i hoped that helped you out a bit, and the reason why Oblivion is lagging cause its a demanding bullshit game, it eats your computer like a bitch, lol meaning your video card isnt powerful enough, a 7800gs would do the job but dont bother buying any video cards now, wait for the new DirectX 10 ones, like the 8800GTX or 8800GTS, i saw the specs on them, and WOW! excellent specs but its up to you man, but maybe if you got the money if you want, go buy an extra gig of ram, that would improve performance a bit more, loading times will be faster and having more ram lets you run more things in games aswell, and go with Corsair, they rulez, peace out
Marcus2, check the MSI website
oh ok thanks, i do have the extra money for it, im only 14 lol, i got a job that bought me this computer and stuff, but i was planning on getting a 1GB ram chip, just need another week. but thanks again, that question really bothered me. sadly i did have to buy that video card because this thing use to have a low ATI Express 200 series 128MB shared, which didnt do to good, so i went out and bought the 7600GS, it was on sale for origonal price 159$ sale price was 103$
ouch…….found out how much thats gonna cost me, the 8800GTS is pricing from 400-500$
I’m going to be getting my M2TW from sendit who are charging their average prices of £18 with free P&P. Not advertising or anything but it’s a good place for all the games they sell though they do only have a limited selection.

Right, I don’t know much about computers. (To you lot, that probably means I know nothing at all)
But All I know is that I have a Dimension 4400 Dell PC (it seems…) and I really don’t know that it is that great of a computer, however, I was wondering if it is at all within the system requirements for M2TW?
Guys, I’m really sorry about this, but, after more than 400 comments (!), I’ll have to close the comments for this post.
In those more than 400 comments, the answer to any MTW2 hardware requirements question should have been answered.
If not, check out the official site. If the requirements aren’t listed, they have a forum there, where you can ask a much larger community about them.
Again, sorry about having to close this discussion, but it’s been hell on my bandwidth.
Hope you find the rest of the blog interesting
