Do you think because this game is very popular and a lot of people are playing this is the reason why it's taking your game to load so slow?

Best RPG ever!
Would make an awesome PSP port.
Hunting around, could only find sourceforge project called Darkworlds.

I think there's a pitch in there somewhere for Sony or Nintendo, could work as a mobile game aswell I guess if u dont mind J2ME lag.

Leave comments here if anyones interested, I'll follow up

Well Well Well, three holes in the ground.
Go, Toys for Bob
You can do IT
There is several generations of gamers waiting on your unique and quirky style of game development that all the graphics and explosions in the world can't replace.
PLEASE to the power of 42 is about as *camper* as I can get.

Target: Renegade has been remade for the PC - http://www.ys3.org/?page.id=2

It's really well done, however, I couldn't get the flying kicks to always work. It seemed, to me, that you can usually only press 2 keys at once and if you press up, left/right and kick (to perform a flying kick) the controls jam up. But the assigned keys were fairly awful (Cursor keys + Right CTRL, and WSAD + Left CTRL), so it may have been me getting them confused. Perhaps you'll have better luck, or you could use a game pad (Xbox 360 pads work on PCs don't forget).

Great reviews, i loved beyond good & evil it was a great game, i have never played any of the fire emblem games but i have always wanted to.
Actually i think the best game that no one ever played is a little game called "Kya Dark Lineage", it too was a great game that didn't get enough attention, but BG&E gets more attention.
hey here is the kya dark lineage wiki if your interested in what kya dark lineage is http://kyadarklineage.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page

Maybe we should bombard chronosoft to make Renegade 3 as it should have looked .. basically the gameplay was sound just make an even bigger game with the game open ended so new levels can be added from extra add on packs? (chronosoft sell new games for the spectrum the link is http://www.cronos.toucansurf.com/ ) excellent site btw :)

I stand corrected Dehumanizer.

I seems her name was Suzy: http://www.mobygames.com/images/shots/original/1107618445-00.png

I recall now that I preferred the original's 'henchwomen', with their whips, bras and nice trousers. It's amazing what a handful of pixels could do for an adolescent boy back then.

...Anyway, at least I didn't confuse it with that hideous 'Renegade III' thing (which I just had the misfortune of being reminded of on the net)!

P.S. Click on my name and run the slideshow to get yourself a great Target Renegade. gif...t.

This game if marketed correctly could have sold a good few more spectrums at the time, When a game was this good you wanted to own it the first Renegade was impressive and TR did what was thought to be the impossible and topped the original. This type of game was a hard act to follow and I commend the programmers behind it. Without doubt the spectrum version was the best by far there were "special moves" in the game which pre cursored the likes of the combo system in later games seen on the Playstation such as Tekken. It's still a very playable game by todays standards and will stand the test of time 10/10

[...] 1- I love all things zombie. Since I discovered George A. Romero’s movies, I’ve turned into a zombie nut, and have bought a lot of DVDs, video games, books, comics, etc. with zombies (including variants such as the 28 Days Later infected). It’s hard to say why the genre appeals to me so much; maybe it’s because zombies force us to look at ourselves with brutal honesty, sometimes for the first time. Plus, I love “what if” scenarios such as a world-wide zombie apocalypse: what would I do? Probably not survive long, but I’d sure try. 2- I love unintentional humor, that is, things that weren’t intended to be funny, but somehow are. For instance, bad translations (such as in many video games), or the crude anti-communism in 60s Marvel comics (”We have no choice! Our communist overlords will slay us if we fail in our mission!”), or some “odd” titles (”Giant-Size Man-Thing”)). 3- I’m usually shy in person (much more than on the Internet), especially with people I’ve just met. Except after a few drinks; then it’s hard to shut me up. I don’t become “dumb” or violent, though, like some people do when they drink. 4- I love learning and solving problems, but after everything is working perfectly and there’s no more room for improvement, I usually get bored with my own solution, and start looking for something new to challenge me — even if it involves replacing my “perfect” solution with something else in need of improvement. Similarly, once I exchanged an 8-bit computer for an inferior one, simply because it was completely different, and new to me. 5- I’ve loved computer and video games since I was 6 (I’m 32). Before then, I remember that I was usually bored, as a kid; most things I did became boring after a while, and I didn’t have any real friends back then. Computer games were my “salvation”, because there’s always something new — they’re “a world that never ends”, to quote Machinae Supremacy. My interests are more varied these days, but I don’t know how I’d have survived the otherwise complete and insanity-inducing boredom of my childhood and early adolescence without computer games. 6- I dream of one day earning enough money to live comfortably from my blogs and sites, without a day job. Yet, contradictorily, I blog about things that interest me, such as philosophy, atheism, blogging, and personal stuff (which earns me virtually nothing — after all, there are no related products for advertisers to sell), and for serious money-making I should be writing about gadgets, phones, personal development and similar stuff. I guess I’m too honest not to write about what I want. 7- I have a curious mix of confidence and lack of it. I know I am capable of just about anything if I put my mind to it, but I’m always afraid of not putting my mind to it, either due to laziness or fear of failure. In other words, I usually succeed if I try… and I know it… yet quite often I don’t try. This is something I should do something about. 8- I get a little bored with Italian and Mexican food (both very popular here in Portugal), but I love Portuguese, Chinese, Israelite and especially Japanese cuisines. 9- I can trace my loves of reading, fantasy, Tolkien, and the English language to one 1982 computer game, The Hobbit. More on that story here. [...]

Activision will not ruin the game.

If Toys for Bob create another Star Control game, they will firstly have to re-name it as Atari own the rights to the name, "Star Control" (Accolade owned it, until bought out by Infogrames, who renamed to Atari). Luckily, Fred Ford and Paul Reiche III own the rights to the material within the game.

Also, if they make a new game, they will demand full control. The fact that Star Control II was in essence a rush job due to Accolade's persistence in getting the game on shelves is THE reason why Fred and Paul refused to have anything to do with Star Control III. That, and the fact that they were unpaid for months of work.

Activision will merely be the distributor. If another game is made, it will be because a) Fred and Paul are paid fully for their time, as well as given a better sales royalty and b) Are given full control on the project, unlike those arsehole jerks at Accolade.
